Romantic getaway
the gem of the Costa Brava

Today, you’re taking your better half to Cadaqués!
You wake up and dash to prepare a generous breakfast, before you set off for a surprise day, exploring the gem of the Costa Brava.

You take the wild winding road towards Cap de Creus peninsula. Once at the top, you watch her face light up on catching a glimpse of this little piece of Catalan heaven, proudly facing the Mediterranean Sea.

Whitewashed houses with orange roofs, vibrant bougainvilleas and shaded streets captivate you immediately.
As you wander around, you reach Santa Maria church overlooking the town, whose bell tower has served as a landmark for passing ships over the centuries.

Sit down on a shaded terrace opposite a lovely inlet, to watch life in the port and the countless passers-by.
Order some Catalan tapas for lunch: Iberico ham croquettes, Patates d’Olot (deep fried sliced potatoes stuffed with minced meat), grilled octopus, tuna tartare, and of course the essential tomato bread!

You’re outside the Casa-Museu Salvador Dalí, a museum in Port Lligat, where he lived for more than 40 years.
You’ll see how the house evolved from a simple fisherman’s hut to an eccentric original work of art, a reflection of its owner.

You stroll through the streets of the town, going round the art galleries and charming shops. Slightly peckish? The artisanal ice creams at ‘Ses Boles’ are to die for!
Before the evening meal, you make your last purchases today – some postcards for your loved ones and crunchy Turrón nougat for those with a sweet tooth.

You end this lovely day with a romantic dinner, in one of the local restaurants. On the menu, the very best of Catalan cuisine with carefully selected local produce. Your better half has had a wonderful day…
